- Poste MC Columbia
The Department of History at Columbia University invites applications for a tenure-track position, at the Assistant Professor level, in the field of twentieth-century Russian and Soviet History. We are particularly interested in someone who is willing to push the boundaries of the Soviet field, whether by focusing on geographical regions (e.g. Central Asia, diaspora), broader chronologies (e.g. fin de siècle, WWI), or new methodological approaches (e.g. environmental history). The appointment is in the History Department, and will also involve close collaboration with the Harriman Institute for Russian, Eurasian, and East European Studies. Innovative scholarship and outstanding leadership in the field are key to the position; the person will work extensively with PhD students in a growing program, and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Russian history while also contributing to the general curriculum of the department and the Core curriculum of the College.

Assistant Professor, Soviet and Post-Soviet History: The Department of History at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a tenure-track position in Soviet and Post-Soviet History. We welcome applications from scholars whose research explores any topic, region, or period within that specialization. The position will start at the rank of Assistant Professor (100% FTE, on a 9-month service basis, with a 2-2 course load). Priority will be given to applicants whose research and teaching interests show a deep engagement with methodological and historiographical debates as they relate to Soviet and Post-Soviet history. All thematic emphases are welcome, including environmental history, colonialism and post-colonialism, transnational or global history, the global south (Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia), the African diaspora, digital history, religion, law and human rights, capitalism and socialism, nationality, race and racism, and gender and sexualities.

La Faculté des lettres de l’Université de Genève ouvre une inscription pour un poste de PROFESSEUR-E ordinaire ou associé-e en littérature russe (XIXe-XXIe siècles) Il s’agit d’un poste à charge complète comprenant des enseignements aux niveaux bachelor et master ainsi que la direction de travaux de maîtrise universitaire et de thèses de doctorat. Le-la candidat-e doit maîtriser parfaitement le français et le russe, oral et écrit.
Le-la candidat-e devra assurer des enseignements approfondis portant sur la littérature russe des XIXe-XXIe siècles, ainsi que des enseignements propédeutiques portant sur l’histoire de la littérature russe depuis son origine. La connaissance d’une deuxième langue slave et une bonne connaissance de l’histoire des idées et des aspects culturels de l’Europe centrale et orientale seraient un atout.
Le-la candidat-e sera appelé-e à développer des recherches au niveau national et international dans son domaine de spécialisation (littérature russe des XIXe-XXIe siècles) et à obtenir des financements extérieurs.
Le-la candidat-e devra également assumer les tâches de gestion et d’organisation au niveau du Département des Études méditerranéennes, slaves et orientales, ainsi que de la Faculté.
TITRE ET EXPERIENCES EXIGES :
- Doctorat ès lettres ou titre jugé équivalent.
- Expérience de direction de recherches et de l’enseignement.
- Publications dans des revues internationales.
